Here's a quick, useful bit of information. I created the map below for an aquaintance moving to the Pensacola area and who wanted to be close to NAS Pensacola so that her hubby could come home for lunch often. If you are house hunting and don't know the area, you might find this short and sweet map useful when you want to know which developments correlate with those house listings you are looking at.

Wish I had had this when we were searching... but ahem, WHY is my lovely subdivision not on here? I'll try not to be offended... :-)
I know it is lovely, Lillian Wood, but it's because the person I made this map for wanted her hubby to be close enough he could come home for lunch, so I only put the absolute closest neighborhoods on here. I'll do a future review on other housing options and pros of those such as yours (living half way into town, close to commissary, etc) :)
